PK Portfolio - Cover

Welcome to my online portfolio! I decided to take a different approach to my portfolio by designing it in a "magazine" style. I hope you enjoy what you see, and thanks for stopping by.
Please click on each page to get a closer look at the details. On this page, the top art titled "Big Stud" is a digital painting I created in Photoshop (see the Digital Art page for a closer look), the Frankenstein painting was done using acrylic paint on masonite board, the hippo and gnu cartoon was drawn with felt tip markers and colored in Photoshop, and the bottom right piece is an airbrush painting of comic book lawman "Judge Dredd" on illustration board.

PK Portfolio - Traditional Art

I discovered the airbrush when I was a Sophomore in High School. My art teacher brought one in to let us try it out and I was instantly hooked. I have been airbrushing now for almost 26 years and I never get tired of it. The Red Cloud indian chief painting and the Freddy Krueger painting were both airbrushed on illustration board. The bottle cap monsters were all painted using acrylic paints inside bottle cap lids, and the landscape was also painted with acrylics on illustration board.

PK Portfolio - Digital Art

A few samples of my digital artwork. The Gorilla and the Spider were both created in Adobe Illustrator, the Stupid Chicken Digest cover is a combination of art created in Photoshop and other elements created in Adobe Illustrator. The"BIG STUD" airplane was painted entirely in Photoshop using a Wacom tablet. No photo manipulation at all, this was painted from scratch in photoshop, using a photo reference.

PK Portfolio - Graphic Design

A few advertisements I have created for various clients. Most of my advertisement design is created in Adobe InDesign, or Adobe Photoshop. Whenever possible, I try to incorporate my artwork, such as with the Red Hot Chile Peppers ad.

PK Portfolio - Graphic Design

More samples of my graphic design work. At top left is a coupon I designed for a massage therapist, at the top right are a couple of business cards, the bottom left is an ad for the Salt Lake visitor's convention bureau, and the bottom right is a movie poster I designed for a friend.

PK Portfolio - Logo Design

A few logos I have designed. I typically create my logos in Adobe Illustrator, but I also love to embellish them in Adobe Photoshop, depending on the client and the situation.
